Guys and girls, this is no ordinary cheese noodle I'm telling ya! The Sun Kee (新記) we visited in Tsim Sha Tsui, is an oh-so-famous restaurant which is praised and loved by most of the Hong Kong celebrities with newspaper cut-outs and photos all over the place. Don't ask me who, cause there were just too many of them that came here to after its signature Grilled Pork Neck Meat Instant Noodles with Cheese (豬頸肉芝士撈丁) and more.

Toowoomba Sunday Market at PCYC
Posted by Unknown on 12:01 AM with No comments
Usually, at this time of Sundays, my boi and I would still snuggled warm in our beds, instead of dragging ourselves out in the cold to grab some fresh fruits and veggies at the Toowoomba PCYC Markets. We were amazed to see that the area has already been resurfaced with tar now. No more muddy walk in rainy days!

Home-Cook Sweet and Spicy Crab
Posted by Unknown on 5:23 AM with No comments
Oh crab crap! I'm still sick with flu and on-and-off mild fever... It has been almost one week already! And I notice the skin on my nose starts peeling off gradually these few days, when I looked myself into the mirror. That's it, no more rubbing your nose with tissue, missy!
Apart from being a sick cat patient, I also made good on my promise to cook Sweet & Spicy Blue Crab for my BB tonight. Crabs are the yummiest seafood EVER (agree with me or not) and we do LOVE them very very much, especially those barbecued mud crab with nothing else but its original flavor *drools* Damn, I feel like making a trip back to Malaysia right the way just to taste them delicious claws.
P.S. Do feel free to drop me a line if you wish to get the recipe from me. I'm more than happy to share :-)

The Angel Cafe: Craving For Caesar Salad
Posted by Unknown on 5:44 AM with No comments
We were here to after their oh-so-delicious Caesar salad again! My both eyes nearly popped out when this EXTRA LARGE plate of Caesar Salad with Smoked Salmon was brought to our table. Surprise, surprise... I'm so flattered to find out that they actually made it specially for me, after seeing my previous blog post and photos taken at the Angel Cafe. A big thank you to the friendly lady at the counter and the chef(s) who prepared our meals tonight! ♥

GUESS Floret Double Necklace
Posted by Unknown on 7:35 AM with No comments
I'm so in ❤ with this lovely GUESS Floret Double Necklace my boi got for me on the day we touched down in Australia. It's a silver plated two-row necklace encrusted with Austrian crystals, and then adorned with a mini script logo heart, a floret, and a GUESS heritage triangle tag. Simply G.I.R.L.I.C.I.O.U.S don't you think?

Home Cooking: Improvised Kung Po Baby Octopus (香辣小章鱼)
Posted by Unknown on 5:49 AM with No comments
This has to be the most delicious baby octopus recipe ever!!! I stumbled upon the video of a Taiwanese cooking show last night, sharing the recipe to make "香辣小章鱼". So I jotted down the recipe and improvised it a little. It looks and tastes almost-similar-but-not-exactly-same as Kung Po (宫保) Stir Fry. The baby octopus were so crispy and delicious after deep fried, and even tastier when the thick and sweet hot sauce was blended with perfection with the deep fried baby octopus. Now, are you tempted yet after looking at the pictures? I have also tried making them with other drooling recipes like Sweet & Sour and Salt & Pepper which are worth the time and effort.

Hong Kong Trip Day 6: Wong Tai Sin Temple (黄大仙祠)
Posted by Unknown on 10:01 AM with No comments
We've always heard of the big name of "Wong Tai Sin Temple" being mentioned by those actors and actresses in Hong Kong Chinese TVB drama series. And from what I know, faithful believers come to this Taoist temple to "Kau Cim" and pray for their prayers to be answered.

Hong Kong Trip Day 5: Famous Local Food & Snacks in Tsim Sha Tsui
Posted by Unknown on 11:27 AM with No comments
After several days in Hong Kong and Shen Zhen, tasting all sort of delicious and heaty food, we finally decided to treat ourselves with some traditional Chinese medicine like Gui Ling Gao (龟苓膏) and Pi Pa Gao (枇杷膏). I'm not sure about others but I personally like them both to be served chilled with honey syrup, very tempting isn't it? So the question now is, where was this place? Kung Wo Tong (恭和堂) of course!!! We went to the nearest franchise located at 15A Cameron Road (金馬倫道).

Vera's 21st Birthday Celebration at Pandan Delight

Theme of the night? Victorian hairbands and heels for the ladies, and no particular dress code for the gentlemen, except closed toe shoes. That's no mission impossible right?

Shopping Night at Christopher's Restaurant
Posted by Unknown on 7:46 AM with No comments
Thursday nights are late shopping nights here in Toowoomba. We went out shopping for some girl stuff (got myself a pair of denim leggings and a diamante ribbon necklace) before heading to Blue Mountain Hotel for dinner. I've brought my little friend, Minnie along this time and by happy chance, our meals were served shortly, half an hour after we placed our orders.

We had a catch up dinner with the Cynthia sisters and our few other friends this afternoon. Lunch together was FUNtastic but the time was just too tight for them to stay a little bit longer with us.

Food & Snacks in Shen Zhen
Posted by Unknown on 5:52 AM with No comments
It's so cold now that I literally have to tuck my hands underneath my thighs to keep them warm. Yet, I'm not using it as an excuse to slack off from updating my blog, so don't worry ;p These food piccies here are some of the famous local snacks and food we tasted in Shen Zhen.

Shen Zhen Day 1: Shopping Loots
Posted by Unknown on 9:35 AM with No comments
Guys, I'm afraid that I'll have to bore you with another chick post of mine, sharing part of my shopping loots from Shen Zhen with them girls today. Shopping is fun, but it could get so irritating when there were too many people squeezing around. Just imagine the intolerable noises and stinky sweats that get on your nerves...

Which one have I got for myself? Take a guess!
Could it be the left one, right one, or the one in the middle? ;p
Could it be the left one, right one, or the one in the middle? ;p
I went to play badminton with my friends again yesterday, when I was supposed to just stay home and rest my injured knee. God, I'm such a stubborn little miss, aren't I? But don't worry, I'll make sure to find some other interesting things to do while waiting for my poor knee to recover =)

Little Singapore Restaurant Brisbane
Posted by Unknown on 2:42 AM with No comments
When comes to dinner time, we had a plan to visit Sono for some Japanese cuisine, but unfortunately the restaurant is not opened on Sundays. So plan changed, we headed down to Little Singapore to have dinner instead. Surprisingly, the meals we ordered came in an incredibly huge portion, just like the Little Hong Kong Restaurant in Sunnybank. But I'm not sure whether to consider ourselves lucky or not, as merely 12 hours after (the next early morning) we consumed their food, both my boi and I were diagnosed with food poisoning. The constant nausea and diarrhea were painfully killing us two, and obviously ruined our fun trip to the Gold Coast.
