Jonathan's Cafe: Char Koay Teow & Char Koay Kak

Jonathan's Cafe: Menu

My Malaysian friend once told me that there is this Asian restaurant located somewhere on Ruthven Street which serves very authentic Malaysian food. Hence today, my boi and I decided to pay a little visit to the restaurant after work for dinner. We drove along Ruthven street and later found out its exact location. Jonathan's Cafe is what the restaurant called, and surprisingly, the interior fits only few dining tables, probably not more than 3. The chef (a Singaporean) who's also the owner of the restaurant recommended his specialty - Curry Chicken to us,  but we both ended up ordering some noodles somehow.

The Angel Cafe: San's Farewell Dinner

The Angel Cafe: Just Me

How's my bangs (my new hairstyle) looking, guys? You don't have to comment anything if you really don't want to... And if you're about to say something harsh / nasty to me, do consider keeping it to yourself as I believe no one would like to see a mad zombie with panda eyes (which could possibly be me) slaying innocent civilians on the street just to release her anger. You know I was only kidding right? Hehe, let's just move on to the farewell feast we had with San at the Angel Cafe last night!

The Spotted Cow: Kitt's Farewell Dinner

Kitt's Farewell Dinner: JUst Me

I'm back from M.I.A. finally...  but please, please don't get cranky with me for not updating my blog in the past 168 hours? =P I've been caught up with so many things lately, my casual and part-time jobs (still looking for a full-time job though if you got any to recommend), moving house, farewelling my friends and etc. In the end, you'll always find that there are just too many things, too little time... Tonight, we made up a supplementary farewell dinner for Kitt and her bf. My initial idea was to have it at the Toowoomba Sports Club but who knows, our friends didn't get to go in because no slippers are allowed =.=" Nevermind, we then changed the location to the Spotted Cow. Without realizing that the restaurant is now run by the new management, we picked a table, sat down, placed our orders, and from there, things started to get a little out of hand.

Special Chicken Rice Dinner

Chicken Rice Dinner: Chicken Rice 1

I just got a filling done on my wisdom tooth few days ago, which cost me almost 300 freaking Aussie dollars. And this coming Friday, I'll be going back to see the dentist again to fix the other wisdom tooth of mine. The damage estimated this time would be at least another 300 dollars *crestfallen with empty wallet* But don't worry, I'm gonna be alive and kicking as long as there's enough food and water for me =P Speaking of food, Cynthia has prepared some chicken rice for Jefry and us (the unexpected guests) on a special night.

Graduation Potluck Party

Graduation Potluck Party

At first, I intended to organize a graduation potluck party on the same night after my graduation ceremony, which was Saturday night. But unfortunately, due to the lack of time to cook and prepare food, we eventually decided to have a mini celebration dinner instead at the Blue Mountain Hotel, then later on followed by a graduation potluck party at my place. I invited most of friends over, and they didn't let me down by showing up with countless pots of good food and desserts!

Good Memories: Zarraffa's Coffee

Zarraffa's Coffee: Hot Coffees

That day, after a little shopping at the Clifford Gardens, we continued our mission to guide our new friend around town and also to try out anything as local as possible, including Zarraffa's coffees, Donut King's donuts and more. Simply irresistible!

Good Memories: Potluck For Jefry

Potluck Lunch: Mushroom Soup

Please allow me to remind you who Jefry is, if you've totally forget or have no idea about the friendly appearance of this person in my blog before. He is my bestie, Cynthia's sweet honey bee. During his short stay here in Toowoomba, we often organized potluck and outings together. And this was the lunch we had in the afternoon, before heading off to Newtown Park State Rose Garden for a little photo-shooting with the flowers and sun. Lots of good memories that we will always hold close to our hearts...

Hervey Bay: Viva Italia Pizza and Pasta

Hervey Bay: Viva Italia Pizza and Pasta

Just recently I made a post entitled, "Hervey Bay: Viva Italia". I admit that it was a silly mistake of mine to get the restaurant's name wrong because today, I'll be introducing you to Viva Italia again, but the actual pizza and pasta restaurant at Urangan. What about that particular post earlier? The title has already been changed to "Bayswater Hotel and Restaurant", but not the url though. Don't worry if my sentences did confuse you a little bit, just ignore them and enjoy the pictures below, cheers!

Potluck Never Ends

Potluck Dinner Monday

A fairly long time ago (nah, just last month to be exact), we had potluck together (again? ALWAYS!) over Cynthia's place. It was simply a catch-up dinner with the girls on Monday night. As I'm saying this, I'm starting to miss it already cause my boi and I have not seen or eaten with them in quite a while.

61st Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers: Flower Parade

Today, I'll be presenting you a series of highlight photos taken a couple of months ago, at the 61st Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers Opening Ceremony. And if you notice, most of them (I'm referring to the performers) cooperated very well when I pointed my camera towards them. You know why? It's solely because a pretty lady standing there holding a Nikon D40 in her my hands did appear to be a little more catchy than others =P
