Sweet Dessert Shop Sunnybank (圆圆糖水铺)

Sweet Dessert Shop Sunnybank

While we were still having Korean barbecue, my boi excitedly suggested, "How about some desserts after dinner?". All of us knotted with yeses, lazily dragged our sore feet this little Sweet Dessert Shop (圆圆糖水铺) at the corner of Sunnybank Market Square / Sunnybank Plaza, not sure which exactly. It was raining heavily that time and I've got myself a hot dessert, while others ordered the cold ones.

O Bal Tan Brisbane: Korean Barbecue

Last Sunday, five of us went down to Brisbane to catch some great bargains from the Boxing Day sales. The shopping malls and streets were so crowded with people even though it was showering all day long in the city. We walked and shopped for hours without caring the rain (we got wet walking from one shop to another but it was alright), and eventually got myself something nice from Myer and Temp. Around 5 plus, we had Korean barbecue at the O Bal Tan Restaurant, which is just walking distance away from Queens Street Mall.

The Actual Christmas Day 2010

Christmas Dinner 2010

The next day after the Christmas Eve Party, we showed up at Veny's place with a slight of sluggishness in our bodies, probably due to sleeping late on the night before. I even felt asleep on the couch while my boi was playing majong with the rest after dinner *blush* This year's Christmas is, nevertheless, one full of joy, laughter, and fun.

Late Dinner at the Coffee Club

The Coffee Club: Cynthia and I

I believe this is the time around the year where everyone's so occupied with Christmas shopping and Christmas Eve preparation. But even so, I still manage to carve out my time a little bit to post some photos of us having dinner at the Coffee Club.

Spring Bluff Railway Station and Gardens

Spring Bluff Railway Station and Gardens 2

The title says it all! We paid a short visit to the Spring Bluff Railway Station and Gardens which is about half an hour drive away from Toowoomba (our living place to be exact). Everything may seemed peaceful and deceivingly clam in the photos, but the truth is NOT! There were these hateful little blood-sucking flying bugs (forgotten the name of it) following us wherever we go and constantly giving us "love bites" while we were busy taking photos.

Montezuma's Mexican Restaurant

Montezuma's Mexican Restaurant: Menu

My boi has a sudden crave for Mexican food today, and he brought me to the Montezuma's at Herries St. for dinner after a little late evening shopping at the Grand Central. It was the second Mexican restaurant in town which we had visited thus far, besides Amigo's (the one at Margaret St.). My confession is (nothing to do with the food or restaurant)... I've got myself something from GUESS again *face down with guilt* something small yet incredibly sweet and adorable *dreamy eyes*

Candlelight Dinner: Western Tonight

We've had hailstorms here today, twice! Just when I thought the weather could stay as beautiful as yesterday, the rain started to pour down heavily, smashing my window with its little hail stones. But the heavy rain didn't stop us from leaving the house at all. We kick started our day by doing some shopping and groceries at the Grand Central and came home with hands full of shopping bags. Hehe, will show you guys more in the coming post =)

Hog's Breath Cafe: Just Food and Beverages

Our friend texted us to pick her up from the Greyhound Bus Interchange the other day, after her little family trip down to Sydney and Gold Coast. We later headed straight for some good food at the Hog's Breath Cafe, since the restaurant is so close to where we were, with absolutely thumbs up food, beverages, and services.

Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant

Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant Toowoomba

I told you guys this morning that I was going to prepare "Koay Teow Th'ng" for lunch, but I didn't actually make it cause my boi rambled about having "Dim Sum" when I asked him to get change and stuff. Therefore, I suggested why not we go to try out the new Chinese restaurant in town? And in the next 30 minutes, we were already there flipping through its menus.

A Leisure Sunday

It's been almost a week, inadvertently... Have you put up your Christmas tree yet? Well, I have not *frown* I said I wanted to do it on this coming weekend but the truth is, I had a pretty hectic weekend working til late nights. That's okay, I think to myself, at least I still get to spend a leisure Sunday to cook like cooking students and to set up the Christmas tree relaxingly with my boi. Tee-hee! And I'm planning to prepare "Koay Teow Th'ng" for lunch today, and a three-dish dinner for tonight. What about you guys? Any plans at all? If no, you better start cracking you head now :p As for the moment, allow me to enlighten your day a little bit with some of these dishes I prepared.

Home-cook: Bacon Omelette, Pak Choy, and Butter Prawns

Sneak Peak of San's Farewell Party

San's Farewell Party

Sorry guys, I've just been totally obsessed with Korean dramas like Boys Over Flowers and Playful Kiss lately, and my newly created Kim Hyun Joong die-heart fan page (do drop by to show some love and support if you happen to be one of his fans, not necessary a die-heart one though). Anyways, I'll post more photos of San's farewell party later tomorrow, as I still need to work tonight and getting her to the Gold Coast Airport after that. Stay tuned and hope y'all have a rainbow weekend til then, cheers!

Jonathan's Cafe: Char Koay Teow & Char Koay Kak

Jonathan's Cafe: Menu

My Malaysian friend once told me that there is this Asian restaurant located somewhere on Ruthven Street which serves very authentic Malaysian food. Hence today, my boi and I decided to pay a little visit to the restaurant after work for dinner. We drove along Ruthven street and later found out its exact location. Jonathan's Cafe is what the restaurant called, and surprisingly, the interior fits only few dining tables, probably not more than 3. The chef (a Singaporean) who's also the owner of the restaurant recommended his specialty - Curry Chicken to us,  but we both ended up ordering some noodles somehow.

The Angel Cafe: Just Me

How's my bangs (my new hairstyle) looking, guys? You don't have to comment anything if you really don't want to... And if you're about to say something harsh / nasty to me, do consider keeping it to yourself as I believe no one would like to see a mad zombie with panda eyes (which could possibly be me) slaying innocent civilians on the street just to release her anger. You know I was only kidding right? Hehe, let's just move on to the farewell feast we had with San at the Angel Cafe last night!

The Spotted Cow: Kitt's Farewell Dinner

Kitt's Farewell Dinner: JUst Me

I'm back from M.I.A. finally...  but please, please don't get cranky with me for not updating my blog in the past 168 hours? =P I've been caught up with so many things lately, my casual and part-time jobs (still looking for a full-time job though if you got any to recommend), moving house, farewelling my friends and etc. In the end, you'll always find that there are just too many things, too little time... Tonight, we made up a supplementary farewell dinner for Kitt and her bf. My initial idea was to have it at the Toowoomba Sports Club but who knows, our friends didn't get to go in because no slippers are allowed =.=" Nevermind, we then changed the location to the Spotted Cow. Without realizing that the restaurant is now run by the new management, we picked a table, sat down, placed our orders, and from there, things started to get a little out of hand.

Special Chicken Rice Dinner

Chicken Rice Dinner: Chicken Rice 1

I just got a filling done on my wisdom tooth few days ago, which cost me almost 300 freaking Aussie dollars. And this coming Friday, I'll be going back to see the dentist again to fix the other wisdom tooth of mine. The damage estimated this time would be at least another 300 dollars *crestfallen with empty wallet* But don't worry, I'm gonna be alive and kicking as long as there's enough food and water for me =P Speaking of food, Cynthia has prepared some chicken rice for Jefry and us (the unexpected guests) on a special night.

At first, I intended to organize a graduation potluck party on the same night after my graduation ceremony, which was Saturday night. But unfortunately, due to the lack of time to cook and prepare food, we eventually decided to have a mini celebration dinner instead at the Blue Mountain Hotel, then later on followed by a graduation potluck party at my place. I invited most of friends over, and they didn't let me down by showing up with countless pots of good food and desserts!

Good Memories: Potluck For Jefry

Potluck Lunch: Mushroom Soup

Please allow me to remind you who Jefry is, if you've totally forget or have no idea about the friendly appearance of this person in my blog before. He is my bestie, Cynthia's sweet honey bee. During his short stay here in Toowoomba, we often organized potluck and outings together. And this was the lunch we had in the afternoon, before heading off to Newtown Park State Rose Garden for a little photo-shooting with the flowers and sun. Hervey Bay: Viva Italia Pizza and Pasta

Just recently I made a post entitled, "Hervey Bay: Viva Italia". Today, I'll be presenting you a series of highlight photos taken a couple of months ago, at the 61st Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers Opening Ceremony. And if you notice, most of them (I'm referring to the performers) cooperated very well when I pointed my camera towards them. You know why? In today's post, I will virtually fly you all the way from wherever you are to Hervey Bay, a beautiful city situated approximately 290 kilometres north of the Queensland's state capital, Brisbane, and lies on the coast of a natural bay between the Queensland mainland and nearby Fraser Island (according to Wikipedia, of course).
