Yesterday was the steamboat birthday bash of Onki, our new friend from Hong Kong. We only found out about the invitation somewhere in the late afternoon and magically came out with a little present for her. Yeah, I did some magic trick back there before going out for badminton.

Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant: Lunch After Floral Parade
Posted by Unknown on 4:11 AM with No comments
The traffic in the city has clogged up a little after the Carnival of Flowers Floral Parade. We didn't wanna go through too much trouble or spend too time trying to get out of this place, so the best option for us was to choose a restaurant nearby to sit down and have lunch together.

Nando's at Kmart Plaza: Extra HOT Meals.
Posted by Unknown on 2:33 AM with No comments
I still recall the last time we had Nando's was actually more than 4 years ago, when we were back in our home-country, Malaysia. Fate took us here to try out Nando's Australia, after doing some groceries at the Kmart Plaza last night.

The Korean barbecue buffet we had at Tobaki the other night was more than meet the eyes. Good food, great service and unbeatable value, which cost only $25.50 per person, damn worth it right?!

Most Recommended Ancient Chinese Drama Series 2009 - 2011
Posted by Unknown on 4:52 AM with No comments
I have a more intense obsession when it comes to ancient or traditional Chinese drama series, with majority of them originated from the Mainland, other than Hong Kong and Taiwan. My favorite ones would be those produced and filmed in China, and better yet starring by brunch of famous actors and actresses from all three countries. "倾世皇妃" is the latest, which I found it addictive with big line-ups like Ruby Lin (she looks forever young and beautiful, doesn't she?!) and Wallace Huo. I really wish to see them being together again, on the screen.

A Bright and Sunny Lunch at the Coffee Club
Posted by Unknown on 6:05 AM with No comments
When it comes to late lunch or late dinner, Coffee Club will always be the first that pops in my head. Deep in my brain, I've already "classified" it as a restaurant that opens 7 days a week, morning til late night, despite the fact that I don't even have a single clue about its actual trading / business hours up to now. *digs hole and hide*

Dinner at Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant
Posted by Unknown on 5:55 AM with No comments
Tonight is one of those nights that I feel like doing nothing at all, especially not cooking. We had a big day at work yesterday, so I guess a fairly decent dinner in a local restaurant was probably what we deserve best at this point in time.

Chevron Renaissance Centre and Paradise Jet Boating at Mariner's Cove
Posted by Unknown on 7:38 AM with No comments
The first thing we did after checking out from the Turtle Beach Resort was to yum jo cha at the Golden Fortune. It was more like a light lunch to us as my BB and I already had cup noodles earlier in the morning. I tried to look up on Google to see if there were any other good Yum Cha spots in Gold Coast, came across restaurants like "Yum Cha Daily", "Top One" (been there a few times, great service but food wise was just average), and Golden Fortune which serves pretty decent dim sums but terribly bad service. So guys, can anyone please give us some recommendations, so that we wouldn't end up visiting here again in the future?

KooKoo Teppanyaki and Lounge Bar at Surfers Paradise
Posted by Unknown on 10:36 PM with No comments
When I said to my boi, "Kia, wa lang ki jiak Koo Koo." in Hokkian dialect, he misinterpreted the line as, "Let's go to eat for a very, very long time." when I actually meant KooKoo, the teppanyaki and lounge bar on the Gold Coast's Surfers Paradise. We had been here once, during the Easter holidays last year and were back again this year for a whole new dining experience.

Last Day in Hong Kong: Just Eat and Shopping
Posted by Unknown on 11:38 PM with No comments
After using up more than 3 months, on and off posting about our 6N7D trip in Hong Kong. I finally decided to conclude it with some of the food we had and the stuff we did on our last day here. The vibe was relaxed, the schedule was loose... Our poor feet were so sore / blistered from walking around all day (since day 1) that they refused to walk any further.
